Within ASCENT DR-TB we are leading in creating the conditions for accelerating the adoption of safer and more effective RR/MDR-TB regimens in the context of a comprehensive quality care package in 8 countries.
As a result of our partnerships, country assessments and gaps identification, we have conducted regional workshops that provide an opportunity for country representatives to share their experiences and discuss the ways of overcoming barriers to programmatic introduction of shorter-newer DR-TB treatment regimens.
These workshops and other ASCENT DR-TB led activities provide an array of resources and tools for further support and consultation for country representatives.
